Finishing Feed Troughs
Feed Troughs help prevent wastage, and ensure your pigs are getting the nutrition they need. Constructed from steel galvanised with a higher-than-usual zinc content, our Troughs are suspended off the ground for greater corrosion resistance; they can also be supplied in even tougher hot-dipped galvanised steel. They’re also reinforced from below, instead of using cross-braces, reducing injury risk and making cleaning much easier. Feed Troughs are available in lengths up to 7.0m: we can advise on the appropriate amount of shoulder space for your group sizes.
HDG Ad Lib Feeder
The HDG Ad Lib Feeder shares the same tried-and-tested design as our Standard model. The difference is that it’s made from hot-dipped galvanised steel, ensuring even greater longevity and return on investment.
The HDG Ad Lib Feeder is available in a range of sizes, from a single-space, 110kg model up to a six-space version with a 660kg capacity, depending on your numbers. Drainage gutters and hinged flaps protect feed from water and vermin; a variable rake allows you to use the feeder with most ration types. Filling is via the hinged lid; moving the feeder is simple using the integral fork sockets mounted either in the base or, if you prefer, in the body of the feeder.
2.5 Standard Ad-lib Feeders
Our Standard Ad-lib Feeders are available with four, six or eight feed spaces each side, and capacity of 450kg to 1 tonne, allowing you to pick the right format for your particular system. A hinged flap on each feed space keeps feed water- and vermin-proof; an adjustable rake makes the feeder suitable for any pellet or cob-type ration. A full-width hinged lid offers easy access for filling, while integral skids in the base with fork sockets and towing eyes makes moving simple, too.
Hopper Style Ad-Lib Feeders
The Hopper Style Ad-Lib Feeder is built to the same specifications, and offers the same reliability and performance, as the Standard Ad-Lib Feeder. The main difference is its higher 1.5 tonne capacity, which reduces filling requirements, labour and soil compaction in alleyways.
To avoid the build-up of stale food, the Hopper Style Ad-Lib Feeder is supplied with two, four or six feed spaces, to ensure a continuous and reliable throughput. A large Durbar structural steel plinth adds stability, and provides a dry, secure standing area for pigs while they’re feeding. The plinth is designed with integral fork sockets for easy moving using a tractor and loader.
